As the Vice President, Clinical Administration (VPCA), Gordon owns and facilitates the development, operations, and maintenance of the applications, systems, tools, and business processes that are essential to the delivery of clinical programs and services. He oversees Project Management, Outcomes & Evaluations, Quality Assurance, and Clinical Applications, Systems, and Business Processes. Gordon previously served as the Region Executive Director of the Capital Region. Since joining Uplift Family Services in 2011, and in prior positions, he has designed and administered safe, effective, high quality, sustainable community-based programs that address child abuse and neglect, juvenile delinquency, trauma, and behavioral health challenges. He has researched and evaluated a number of emerging “next-generation” interventions and served as a Principal Investigator in a Federal Grants project. He is a career-long advocate for community-based programs, research-based services, rigorous program evaluation, cultural responsiveness, and family voice and choice. Acknowledged as an expert in the field, Gordon serves on a number of state committees, workgroups, and advisory teams.
Gordon has published and presented research papers on wraparound, resource family care, and restorative justice. He received his master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Manitoba in Canada. He was named “2007 Social Worker of the Year” by the Sacramento Unit of the National Association of Social Workers. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Certified Group Home (GH) Administrator, and a Certified Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) Administrator in California.
